I graduated from UW-Eau Cliare with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree back in December 2003 and I have been in the field since then. I first started off working for a small ad agency in town. A year later, I moved on to be a designer for a website design and development company and lasted there for almost 5 years. During my time there, I was involved in the design phase of a website. Creatively taking what potential customers desire and visually displaying that in a tasteful manner to give them a impactful and unique storefront for their business on the web. Beside designing websites, I was also involved in designing logos, identities, and printed materials. As a promise to our clients, I made sure that the design fit their need and it represented them visually in an interesting way.
From late 2009 to early 2010, I went on to join another well known website design and development company. I learned a great deal there. In this position, I approached the design and development of sites hands-on. I was mainly dealing with HTML/CSS and the front-end of website design. I engaged myself everyday and entertain myself by learning how to code things and make it work. Of all, this was the most interesting thing I've done even though it was short lived on my part. To say the least, I really enjoyed what I did there in a short amount of time.
Since April of 2010, I went back to designing for print for a local printing and publishing company. Like the previous several places that I've been at, I learned a great deal that will only help me in my career path to become a great creative designer. Using primarly Adobe InDesign as a page layout, it was a tough transition but it was an interesting one. Everyday I learn something new and that's interesting.
